SESC’s PBIS Fidelity Recognition System is designed to encourage schools to implement PBIS at high levels with a continuous improvement mindset in order to improve academic, social and behavioral student outcomes. Recognition of PBIS fidelity means that a school places great importance upon utilizing systems within the PBIS framework which allows staff to engage in preventive and proactive practices, interventions and supports for students and staff.
The purpose of this system is:
To reinforce school and district efforts with PBIS implementation
To encourage school and district staff to continually work on improving school climate
To help schools and districts measure and celebrate success
The purpose of this system is NOT:
To monitor or ensure compliance
To validate demonstration sites
To ensure levels of implementation
