What do we do at circle time?

One of our fantastic librarians will read one to two popular children's picture books (as seen in the photo to your left). Following this reading, we will offer some fun and creative crafts that correlate to the reading.

In the images to the left, our phenomenal librarian (Annette Tompkins) read Green Eggs and Ham as part of our Seuss-a-bration back in March 2022. This reading was followed by some fun Dr. Seuss inspired crafts.

Fall into Reading!

This fall, our stellar Clarksville Lending Library duo (Annette & Laney) planned some truly extraordinary circle time events!

In September, they read Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn, Leaf Jumpers, Scarecrow! Afterwards, students were given the opportunity to create a scarecrow of their very own! 

In October, the readings were There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat, The Legend of Spookly The Square Pumpkin, and Go Away Big Green Monster! Students who attended this circle time in costume received a special treat! Following the read aloud, students were given some fun pumpkin themed crafts. From pumpkin glasses to decorating their own pumpkin, the center was a buzz with autumn creativity!

It was a fun and memorable fall season at the Clarksville Resource Center this year. Thank you all who were able to attend! We hope to see you again soon!
