ELA teachers worked with students to thoroughly understand how to access and properly utilize google classroom. Google classroom provides a variety of asynchronous learning opportunities for students to complete individually.
After the teacher has shared her screen and modeled to students how to log into and navigate one of the learning resources, students are then asked to do the same. With guided instruction, all students log in to the resource on their individual devices, asking questions along the way, until all students are successfully able to access the learning resource. The teacher then asks all students to engage in navigation tasks to check for understanding. Students are given the option to share their screen if they need further instruction. This ensures all students are able to access and engage in the virtual curriculum.
