We are a full primary school (Years 0 - 8) situated in the township of Seddon at the base of the stunning Awatere Valley, 25km south of Blenheim.
Seddon School was established in 1883 and is an important part of the wider community. Seddon School serves a diverse collaboration of communities - our urban and rural. Our students are evenly represented in both groups and travel to school in a range of different ways from bus, car, bike or walking. We currently have 7 classrooms, named after local birds in Marlborough, operating with between 120 and 145 students and enjoy the support of 3 teacher aides and 2 part time teachers.
Our classes are all named after local birds of interest rather than room numbers.
Our highly supportive Board of Trustees, community and fundraising teams, see us well resourced and able offer a large range of extra options. We offer high quality, modern teaching and learning programmes and proudly maintain traditional values.
