INTENT
The intent of my project was to provide an open spacious manor for the family, also to introduce the space in such a way that they'd be able to open up new programs such as a Crèche and a shop where they'd be able to sell the produce from their own farm.
During the visits, I noticed that the main living/drawing room was positioned in such a way that jo natural light or ventilation could be seen, therefore I proceeded further with the idea of getting rid of it and instead replaced it with a courtyard with steps going down the ground line creating a "Surajkund" which would help with cooling down the house during the summer days. Also keeping in mind that there are 9 residents residing within the premises out of which four are kids, I designed the rooms and placed them in such a way that would be accessible to every member of the house and also to create a private space when the courtyard area gets used as a crèche during the daytime.
