Remember to always have proper form. You should never be in pain. You can always modify the pose based on your capability. For example, instead of doing a downward dog with your wrist placed on the floor and feet on the floor- you can use yoga blocks or books or a chair. You can have your hands placed on the back rest or on the seat rest. You can even.do it against a wall standing upright. You can also use a chair for any pose. Just make sure that the chair is stable and maybe on a non-slip surface. For example, if you have a yoga mat you can put a chair on top of the yoga mat so it doesn't slide. You can also use a therapy ball if you have one for various yoga poses. Be creative with finding your ability to move. We Are All Made differently. The importance is that we do move, exercise, stretch and continue our yoga practice.. It is okay to be at a different level. Just work within your level and work to improve your personal best.Remember to hydrate -drink water- not sugary drinks. Take a break if you need it. Make sure you always warm up, stretch and cool down. Cool down can consist of lightly walking or side-stepping and then stretching.
