Remember to always have proper form. You should never be in pain. You can always modify the activity to have a lower intensity. For example, instead of doing a jumping jack you can step open- step close- with your legs. You can also do push-ups and burpees against a wall standing upright. If doing a downward dog with your wrist placed on the floor and feet on the floor- you can use yoga blocks or books or a chair. You can have your hands placed on the back rest or on the seat rest. You can even.do it against a wall standing upright. You can also use a chair for any pose or exercise modification. Just make sure that the chair is stable and maybe on a non-slip surface. For example, if you have a yoga mat you can put a chair on top of the yoga mat so it doesn't slide. You can also do push-ups or burpees on the couch.Your stomach would be facing the couch and your hands would be on the edge of the couch and you would jump or step your feet out or do push-ups on the couch.You can also use a therapy ball to do push-ups if you have one. You can also do push-ups on a pillow. Be creative with finding your ability to move. We Are All Made differently. The importance is that we do move and exercise. It is okay to be at a different level. Just work within your level and work to improve your personal best.Remember to hydrate -drink water- not sugary drinks. Take a break if you need it. Make sure you always warm up, stretch and cool down. Cool down can consist of lightly walking or side-stepping and then stretching.
