Shared Living Agreements(SLA) are a tool that you can use to help residents set guidelines and boundaries when sharing a space. While we hope the SLA completed in the begining of the year guides residence to conflict resolution, this may not always be the case. There may be times where additional support is needed and we need to monitor a conflict in a room more frequently.
If you are informed of a roommate conflict, whether you are able to resolve it on your own or not, be sure to document the conflict using the Roommate Concerns Form. Ensure that the form is filled out thoroughly.
If a roommate conflict occurs on duty, involves a policy violation, physical alternation, or is escalated/more serious, and Incident Report(IR) should be completed as well.
