The Student Leader One Stop Shop, or SLOSS, is a comprehensive resource center for student leaders in SDSU's residence halls. The site is designed to support and empower student leaders in their roles as leaders of their residence halls, as well as provide them with the tools and information they need to effectively lead and serve their communities and embody our department's mission and values. The website includes a wide variety of resources such as training materials, best practices, and leadership development opportunities. In addition, it also provides information about programs, events, and initiatives that student leaders can get involved in to enhance their leadership skills and make a positive impact on their communities. Whether you're an experienced student leader or just starting out, the SLOSS has something to offer everyone.
The Residential Education Office strives to provide safe and supportive on-campus living learning communities where diverse students are challenged to develop holistically; as scholars, citizens and leaders. Residential education staff members are dedicated to providing curricular and co-curricular experiences to develop and enhance residents’ academic success, awareness and appreciation of diversity and civic responsibility.
REO is housed within the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Diversity, which provides students with the rich and distinctive experience that is the hallmark of an SDSU education. We create diverse communities and new cultural experiences that inspire students to break down barriers and transform lives, and our guidance and support help them navigate academic, personal and professional success to emerge as our dynamic and global leaders of tomorrow.

We stand upon a land that carries the footsteps of millennia of Kumeyaay people. They are a people whose traditional lifeways intertwine with a worldview of earth and sky in a community of living beings. This land is part of a relationship that has nourished, healed, protected and embraced the Kumeyaay people to the present day. It is part of a world view founded in the harmony of the cycles of the sky and balance in the forces of life. For the Kumeyaay, red and black represent the balance of those forces that provide for harmony within our bodies as well as the world around us.
As students, faculty, staff and alumni of San Diego State University we acknowledge this legacy from the Kumeyaay. We promote this balance in life as we pursue our goals of knowledge and understanding. We find inspiration in the Kumeyaay spirit to open our minds and hearts. It is the legacy of the red and black. It is the land of the Kumeyaay. Eyay e’Hunn My heart is good.
