SDSSU-Graduate School Comprehensive Examination Application
ADMISSION
All applicants for graduate and post graduate programs must have appropriate or allied Baccalaureate degree or Allied Master’s degree; and
All applicants for admission must take an entrance examination or graduate school admission tests and interview conducted by the Graduate School Office;
An applicant to the master’s program has to take the written exam to be administered by the graduate school office;
Applicant to the doctorate program must at least write a concept paper out from the given topic which will be provided by the graduate school office;
New entrant to the program shall pass the graduate school admission test and interview;
Applicants for the graduate and post-graduate programs are required a recommendation letter from a former professor or professors and immediate supervisor;
A graduate program applicant is required one (1) recommendation letter from former professor and one (1) from immediate supervisor ; in cases of unemployed applicant, two (2) recommendation letters from former professors are required;
A post-graduate applicant is required two (2) recommendation letters from former professors and one (1) letter recommendation from immediate supervisor; and
Probationary, conditional or special admission may be granted to applicants with deficiencies (viz., lack pre-requisites, lack of admission requirements, deficient result in the entrance exam and etc.) as may be determined by the graduate school coordinator or the dean of the graduate school.
Hold Master’s degree, with thesis work in a relevant field of study; for an applicant who is a graduate of a non-thesis program he/she shall not be eligible for admission in the post graduate program;
An applicant to the doctorate/post graduate program must at least write a concept paper out from the given topic which will be provided by the graduate school office;
An applicant has to pass the entrance examination and interview conducted by the graduate school; and
An applicant must satisfy other requirements as specified by the University.

The applicant must satisfy other requirements as indicated by the Graduate School wherein the degree program is being offered.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in any ITE programs or in its allied discipline (e.g. sciences, math, and engineering), which provides a substantial background in computing. Other Bachelor’s degrees may be considered on a case-to-case basis.
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in at least one (1) high-level programming language.
Applicants must have a general knowledge in Computer Science equivalent to the following:
Discrete Mathematics;
Algorithm Design and Analysis;
Operating Systems;
Programming Languages;
Database Systems; and
Software Engineering
Unsatisfactory background in any of these courses is considered a deficiency.
