800m all 6 groups – waterfall start may be used

Long jump – girls gr. 6 (pit 1) athletes get 3 attempts each
Long jump – girls gr. 7 (pit 2) athletes get 3 attempts each
Long jump – girls gr. 8 (pit 3) athletes get 3 attempts each
High Jump – boys gr. 6/7 (pit 1) max of 9 attempts / athlete
Discus – boys - 3 attempts
Shot put ( 4lbs gr. 6/7)- gr. 6 girls
League Meet #2 - Thursday, May 14th
100 m
4x100m – practice - no timers (self-time)
Triple jump – girls (pit 1) athletes get 3 attempts each
Triple jump – boys (pit 2) athletes get 3 attempts each
Triple jump – overflow (pit 3) athletes get 3 attempts each
High Jump – girls gr 6/7 (pit 1) max of 9 attempts / athlete
Shot put ( 4lbs gr. 67/ 6 lbs- gr. 8)- gr 7/8 girls (outside stadium near 100 m start) 3 attempts
League Meet #3 - Monday May 25
Sprint hurdles in lanes 3 – 9
1200 m – lanes 1-2
300 m -all 6 groups – waterfall start may be used
Long jump – boys gr. 6 (pit 1)athletes get 3 attempts each
Long jump – boys gr. 7 (pit 2) athletes get 3 attempts each

Discus- girls–3 attempts
Shot put- boys (gr. 7/8 = 6lbs, gr 6 = 4 lbs- outside stadium near 100 m start)
League Meet #4 - Wednesday, May 27
Discus -Boys final**
check results from May 7th online to determine the top 12 throwers for the Discus. (top 12 plus 2 alternates should attend) 2000m final**
check results from May 7th online to determine the top 16 runners for the 2000m. (top 16 plus 2 alternates should attend for boys and girls)
4X100 relay qualifying—all schools be prepared to provide workers as zone judges
other track events as needed to complete
4×200 practice races follow if time permits (self-time)
Championship Meet June 3rd: All day at UVic
Attending League Meets:
In order to qualify for the Championship Meet, athletes must attend the meet in which their event is being held. There are no make-up days.
Transportation to and from all meets is the responsibility of the parents/guardians.
League Meet Rules:
A maximum of 4 students per age group & gender in any given event may represent their school on any given day of qualification.
For the 100m event 6 students per age group & gender may represent their school.
Qualifying for League Meets out of ROMS: Based on the above rules regarding athlete maximums per age group and gender, there will be qualification practices. Students must attend these practices in order to qualify out of ROMS and the league meets. STUDENTS will not be allowed to qualify for more than 3 individual events and 2 relays.
Qualifying for the Championship from League Meets:
Track Events: In the 80m hurdles, 100m, 200m, 300m, 800m, 4×100, and 1200m 2 flights (A,B) will qualify for the Championship Meet: Top 8 times A flight, next 8 times will enter B flight.
Field Events: Top 12 Qualify
School and individual Qualifying limits:
Relays – - there is a maximum of 2 teams per school per category (4×200 and 4×100)
A maximum 3 athletes per school will be allowed to compete in any (all) individual events at the Championship meet
Individual athletes may qualify in a max of 3 individual events + 2 relays at the Championship meet
If an athlete “no shows” at an event for which they have been qualified for and entered into, they are disqualified from all other events.
