Article XII: Amendments

1. Voting: This constitution may be amended when an amendment is approved by a majority of the entire Student Government.

2. Amendment Proposals: Amendments shall be proposed during open forum of all present Student Government Members during a formal meeting. Formal amendments shall be proposed by the Executive Government. The amendments shall take effect immediately upon approval unless otherwise proposed.

3. Additions to the Constitution: Amendments shall be incorporated into the Constitution by the current Secretary as they are approved by the Student Government.

4. Amendment Appeals: In the case that an amendment to the constitution is rejected, the member who originally proposed the amendment has the right to an appeal, but is limited to only one appeal per proposed amendment.

5. Appeal Process: In the event of an appeal, the member can only edit the originally proposed amendment and present it to Student Government at the next meeting proceeding the original proposal.

This constitution shall come into effect on the Seventeenth of August, 2021. Any changes or additions to this constitution after this date must be in the form of an amendment.

1. 18 February 2020: A re-formatted constitution was approved, to add a table of contents, and cover page. This also standardized format among all different articles.
