About Us

Advisor: Ms. Chemaine Huss

Ms. Huss is the Student Government Advisor at Brighton High School. She has served as the Student Government advisor for five years. Ms. Huss is also the Prom and Junior Class Sponsor, as well as the GAPP Coordinator. She teaches Health and German at BHS. Ms. Huss applied to be the Student Government Sponsor because she wanted to be more involved in student activities and wanted to make sure that students' voices were heard. Ms. Huss said her favorite part of Student Government is "watching students learn to lead."

Co-President: Taylor Hoisington

Taylor Hoisington is the Student Body Co-President at Brighton High School. 

Co-President:  Dylan Gorsegner

Dylan Gorsegner is the Student Body Co-President at Brighton High School. He is a Senior at Brighton High and is serving his fourth year in Student Government. Dylan previously served as the Student Body Secretary and Co-President. He also participates in TSA as president, National Honor Society, and Civil Air Patrol. He joined Student Government because he wanted to help the student body and improve school events. Dylan said his favorite part of Student Government is "seeing the excitement of the students after working hard on events."

Yana Xhijn Castillo is the Student Body Treasurer at Brighton High School.

Historian: Anderson Miller

Anderson Miller is the Student Body Historian at Brighton High School. 

Leader of the Pack: Abigail Brandsma

Abi Brandsma is the Student Body Leader of the Pack at Brighton High School.
