Skiing In College

It is difficult to navigate the Nordic College scene to find out which colleges offer XC skiing. We are not aware of any great website that presents the complete picture. Often even the college websites themselves are outdated and programs were cut. If you seek a significant scholarship in XC skiing, you have to look at NCAA Divison 1 schools. There are only a few in the West, some in the Midwest, and several in the East. Lots of colleges especially in the West bring in international students for the majority of their scholarships which makes it extremely difficult for any WY HS graduate to join their athlete roster. In contrast, if you don't seek a scholarship but you are looking to join a college team and still want to compete while you go through college, you should consider a college that is part of the US College Ski Association (USCSA).
