Welcome to Sheridan High School's Nordic Ski Team. We are excited to establish high school level competitive Nordic Skiing in Sheridan as we train in the Big Horns and enjoy being outdoors during the winter.
We WORK Hard
We are ONE Team
We LOVE the Outdoors
Nordic Skiing is an excellent way to improve overall fitness as it challenges the athlete in all nine aspects that make up fitness. Both aerobic and anaerobic sports can benefit from Nordic Skiing during the winter. For endurance athletes such as cross-country runners or swimmers, Nordic Skiing builds a better engine increasing the athlete's VO2max and lactic threshold. For athletes competing in anaerobic sports such as football, soccer, tennis, or volleyball, Nordic Skiing enhances their ability to recover quicker allowing them to push longer at high intensity throughout the game.
