These are some suggested online/offline activities to keep the children working. They are optional and they do not all have to be completed as we do not wish to add further stress to family life during these unprecedented times.
This week you can do some activities from Maths, English and Irish and you can choose one other activity from one of the following subjects: SESE, STEM, SPHE, PE, Arts and Religion.
There is an option to email a picture of work or send an email about work completed to the teacher on a Friday only if you wish. You can tell us about what activities you enjoyed.
Identify 10 2D shapes around your home
Decide whether the shapes you have identified are symmetrical or asymmetrical
Play the “Guess Who” game using shape characteristics (I have 4 straight, equal sides and 4 corners. Which 2D shape am I?)
Draw five 2D shapes of your choice
Magic bag game (mála draíochta): Cut out and place 2D shapes into a bag. The children can put their hand in and try to guess which shape they are touching by describing its characteristics.
