Be aware that non participating dentist can balance bill. This means that after they receive their payment from Aetna, all billed charges not paid can be billed directly to you. Maximize your benefit by getting your dental services with participating dentists

What is the annual plan maximum? The amount Aetna will pay towards your claims in a calendar year. Once the yearly maximum is reached, you must pay for 100% of any remaining dental procedures.
What is the reward provision? You have the potential of increasing your annual maximum for the following year, up to $250, by receiving any preventive service. If you don’t receive preventive services your maximum reduces back to the plan maximum the following year. The annual maximum is independently tracked for each family member. The increase does not apply towards Orthodontics.
