Tenth Grade opens with a snapshot of the world circa 1750. The course continues chronologically up to the present. Several concepts are woven throughout the course including industrialization, nationalism, imperialism, conflict, technology, and the interconnectedness of the world. The last two units in Grade 10 focus on global issues, applying a more thematic approach whereas the first four are organized through a chronological design.

Each yearly course of study is organized around a suggested time frame for core content (units of study) guided by essential questions.
