Below is a breakdown of the current grade distribution across classes 806, 807, 808, and 809. As you can see the majority of grades in the gradebook are under the progress towards content mastery category; This means that each new assignment reduces the overall weight applied to your average moving forward. Content mastery, Group work, Participation, and Citizenship are going to be the heavy hitters for my class. So, if you get a low score here and there for a progress towards content mastery grade, don't sweat it too much and remember that you can always make up for it with a book report.

The CommonLit Pre-Assessment results are in. These results are a bit lower than previous assessments, but I think it has a lot to do with a the fact that this was not counted towards the gradebook and you kids have taken wayyy too many assessments in the past few weeks; understandable for sure.

I received an email from Harvard University today.
They are looking for students who are or will be 13 years old by the start of courses this summer to receive pre-professional degrees via their new online program. I can nominate 10 students for the program and courses can be completed in summer and weekend courses online. This means that you would graduate high school with a college degree from Harvard.
They currently offer programs in pre-med, business, coding, politics, pre-law, and business consulting.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please send me an email with an essay describing why you are a good fit for Harvard. Explain in your essay what you plan to do with your degree and what your plans are in the future.
