Materials:
Sponge
Wooden skewers
Scissors
Construction paper
Glue
Something to cut the skewer with (wire cutters, etc. NOTE: It might be a little hard to cut the skewer, so you might want to get some help)
1. Sponge Sailboat
Steps:
Fold a small piece of construction paper in half and then cut a diamond from it. Unfold it. Next, put the skewer on top of the unfolded paper. (See picture →)
Add glue to one side on either side of the skewer and press them together. (See picture →)
Cut a bigger triangle out of paper. (Like the triangle in this picture →)
Poke the pointy side of the skewer in the middle of the sponge all the way and then take it out.
Take the pointy side of the skewer (again) and poke it through one of the points of the triangle, not too close to the sides.
(←Like that )
Poke the opposite side of the triangle with the skewer- the points directly across from each other. [this probably doesn’t make any sense- refer to the picture → poke at points B and C because they are directly opposite each other. ]
To sail, soak the sponge in water first and don’t worry if it falls down.
Have fun sailing your little boat on great adventures!
2. Paper Plate Bird Feeder
Materials:
Paper plates
String
Bird seed
Cheerios
Hole punch
Peanut butter
Use the hole puncher to make 3 even holes on the plate. [COMMENT: The plate might not be strong enough to hold all the bird seed and the animals that stand on the plate. You might have to use multiple plates or a plate holder]
Put several pieces of string through each hole and then tie a knot or two on it.
Then, slip on cheerios on the string (look at picture on the right →)
Next, use the peanut butter and spread it on the bottom of the plate, and then sprinkle a layer of bird seed over it. (←helpful picture left)
Tie all the tops of all the three strings together.
Hang it on a tree where there are lots of birds and squirrels.
Enjoy your brand-new paper plate bird feeder!

Take the blue pipe cleaner and cut it half.
Next, bend the two shorter pieces in half and intertwine them at the bend. (See picture →)
Pinch the pipe cleaners and then push the bottom in the X you made before. Leave the intertwined part inside the carton but the rest outside.
Curl the tops of the pipe cleaners that are sticking out to make it look like water.
Make a tail and fins from the blue construction paper and cut it out. (See picture →)
Glue the fins to the outside of the egg carton and glue the tail to the inside. (For the tail, put some glue on the inside of the carton and then tuck part of the tail in.- See picture up.)
Glue on the google eyes to the front of the carton and add a mouth with the black marker.

Steps:
Take the box or lid and cut a hole on one side of the box for you to drop the marble in OR if you want to make it so you can tilt it in your hands you don't need to add a hole.
Use popsicle sticks to make your own track for the marble. (You can use an example from the picture above to help you.)

A water bottle
A glow stick
4 pipe cleaners

Cut out the wings with your foam sheet or construction paper and glue them to the top of the bottle. (The side opposite the legs - See picture → → → →)
Put the glue stick inside the bottle.
Glue two googly eyes on the cap of the bottle.
Take the last pipe cleaner and twist it around the cap so it can make the antenna. (See picture → → → →)
