Debut
From their first K-pop single, "Glass Bead,” until their final album "回:Walpurgis Night". GFRIEND is one of the most popular K-pop girl groups, as well as one of the most successful groups to come out from a small company. The group consists of Eunha (lead vocalist), Yerin (vocalist), Sowon (leader and vocalist), Umji (vocalist), Yuju (primary vocalist), SinB (vocalist) formed GFRIEND. The GFRIEND has won 33 awards and their name translates to "good friends."
The Rise to Fame
The group made their debut on January 15, 2015, with the song Glass Bead. With a total of 29,715,429 million streams by the end of the year, the song was one of the best-selling singles of 2015. Despite the fact that their debut song was extremely successful, Rough won a total of 15 awards from various music shows. The group became well-known as a result of their victories. It wasn't until the group won their first triple crown in a total of four music awards, that they became the second girl group to chart this quickly. GFRIEND was also noted for one of their members slipping while dancing to Me Gustas Tu in the rain after the release of the famous song.
回:Walpurgis Night
GFRIEND released their final album of the year on November 9, 2020. MAGO (lead single), Love Spell, Three of Cups, GRWM, Secret Diary, Better Me, Night Drive, Apple, Crossroads, Labyrinth, and Wheel of the Year are among the 11 tracks on 回:Walpurgis Night. GFRIEND debuted at number one on the iTunes Top Albums Chart in seven countries within the first 24 hours of its release, selling over 46,000 copies in the first week. MAGO, their lead song, is about someone who wants to be themselves and doesn't care what others say. This song conveys the concept of having control over your own life.
Disbandment
The group's contract officially expired on May 22, 2021, leaving the girls with no choice but to disband. Despite the disbandment, SinB, one of the members, hopes to reunite again one day. SinB, Eunha, and Umji formed and debuted in a new group called VIVIZ in February 2022.

Debut
Sunmi has won 16 awards since her debut, from the first single 24 Hours, to her most recent single Oh Sorry Ya. She has over 300 million Spotify streams under the company of ABYSS, thus, making her the third most streamed female soloist with 21 songs. According to Spotify, she is the only Korean soloist who has both an album and a song with 100 million or more streams.
Wonder Girls
Sunmi began her career with Wonder Girls, a JYP Entertainment group. She revealed that she left JYP because she wanted to challenge herself in a new environment. However, she left JYP regretfully. “I was with JYP Entertainment for 10 years. It was honestly hard to leave. My personality fears things I’m not comfortable with,” Sunmi explained. “JYP Entertainment is a company that’s been in business for a long time, so they’re systematic. Make Us, on the other hand, have more freedom.”
The Rise to Fame
On February 17, 2014, three years after leaving Wonder Girls, she returned to the industry as a solo artist. Her debut single, 24 Hours, launched her career. The song expresses how a girl should not be separated from her lover for more than 24 hours. On the Gaon Digital Chart, the song peaked at number two. Six months after the release of 24 hours, the song was included in her EP, Full Moon.
Oh Sorry Ya
Sunmi's latest single in 2022, released on International Women's Day, promoting equality for women in the music industry. The singer has always considered her femininity to be a powerful source of strength for her. In this song, she shows the conflict between the old Sunmi and the new Sunmi. She explains how the new version of her is no longer sick of the old version of herself. The new Sunmi becomes much more powerful and shines brighter than a diamond.
