The Game
The Brooklyn Nets vs. the Golden State Warriors game took place on November 16, 2021 in Barclays Center. Nets and Warriors fans alike were ecstatic. You could hear the screams from all around. The tension was in the air. Both teams and fans couldn’t wait, though many New Yorkers were disappointed that Kyrie Irving wasn't able to join the game. The Warriors cruised to a big win finishing 117 to 99. It was a sad day for Nets fans. With the Nets leading 34 to 31 after the first quarter, it looked promising for them. But from the second quarter on, it was clear that the Warriors were taking the game. It seemed many fans thought the Nets could have won if Irving was on the court.
Highlights
Stephen Curry, team captain and starting point guard for the Golden State Warriors scored 37 points. While Kevin Durant, team captain of the Brooklyn Nets scored 19.
Final Thoughts
The crowd erupted in cheers that soared through the packed stadium. You could tell how pumped the teams were. The sheer excitement everyone experienced was easy to imagine. Many fans including myself were upset that Kyrie Irving wouldn’t be playing this game, but nonetheless it was incredible to be back in the stadium!

As of December 17th, the Brooklyn Nets currently sit at top in the Eastern Confernce with a 21 and 8 record. The Golden State Warriors are now tied for first place in the Western Conference with the Pheonix Suns, both with a 23 and 5 record.
