For entry to the Sixth Form Centre, students will be expected to:
Achieve a minimum of 5 grade 4s at GCSE level (or equivalent) from a range of subjects including English Language.
Receive a favourable reference from your previous school or college
Have an individual Guidance Meeting to discuss your choice of subjects and future plans.

GCSE Mathematics
Students who do not achieve a grade 4 in GCSE Mathematics (or equivalent) will be expected to continue to study GCSE Mathematics and to retake the examination.
Events
All the high schools hold Joint Talks in October, in conjunction with The Guernsey Institute (College of FE). If you or your child is currently attending one of the grant-aided colleges, or is home-educated, please come along one of these Joint Talks:
Thursday 16 October, 7:00 pm at Les Varendes High School
Tuesday 21 October, 7:00 pm at Les Beaucamps High School
Thursday 23 October, 7:00 pm at St Sampson's High School
The Sixth Form Centre's Information Evening is on Tuesday 11th November between 6pm-8pm. This is a chance to visit individual subjects.
Guidance Meetings take place in November for potential students from the private colleges and in January / February in the high schools.
Our Taster Day for this academic year is Thursday 15 January 2026.
