On the California School Dashboard (Dashboard), Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) and schools serving kindergarten through grade eight students receive a Chronic Absenteeism Indicator based on the number of students who were absent 10% or more of the school year.
Note: This indicator is not reported for high schools. However, chronic absenteeism rates for all grade levels (kindergarten through grade twelve) and absenteeism by reason can be accessed through the California Department of Education (CDE) Absenteeism Data web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/ds/ad/crabtop.asp.
