Evidence-Based Practices and Resources

The California Department of Education annually reports on the progress of student groups multiple indicators.  Student performance related to each indicator,  is publicly available on The California Dashboard. The state indicators include: Academics (ELA and Math), Science, Chronic Absenteeism, English Learner Progress, College and Career, Graduation Rate, and Suspension.  

DA-Eligible Districts are required to "identify and implement effective programs and practices to improve the outcomes and opportunities for low-performing pupil subgroups" (Ed Code 52071).  In an effort to support LEAs with their improvement efforts, the CIA team has developed a highly-curated list of evidence-based practices related to specific indicators and student groups.   Various evidence-based tools and resources for each of the state indicators and student groups indicators can be found by clicking the link(s) below.  This list is highly curated and not intended to be comprehensive of all tools that are available.
