On October 13, 2025, the CYBHI School-Linked Partnership & Capacity Grant team hosted its monthly Community of Practice session, spotlighting the San Diego County Office of Education and their work supporting LEAs in the Capacity Grants program. San Diego COE shared their journey in designing and implementing the capacity grants, particularly highlighting how they support LEAs who are engaged in direct allocations and consortia models, and what tools they developed to support this work.

On September 9, 2025, the CYBHI School-Linked Partnership & Capacity Grant team hosted its monthly Community of Practice session, spotlighting Alameda County Health and their three decades of experience building and sustaining school health centers in partnership with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and community-based organizations. Speakers highlight how the county’s 28 school-based clinics deliver integrated medical, dental, behavioral health, and youth development services, while addressing equity and access for underserved students.

On August 12, 2025, the CYBHI School-Linked Partnership & Capacity Grant team hosted its monthly Community of Practice session, spotlighting Butte County Office of Education and their innovative approaches to building sustainable systems of school-based care. This session featured Matt Reddam and Shirley Williams, who shared how the Butte County Office of Education is integrating Certified Wellness Coaches (CWCs) into COST/CARE teams, supporting district leaders in effectively leveraging CWCs, and strengthening collaboration with school-based practitioners.

This month's peer learning sessions features Leah Lamattina and Dr. Peter Stoll from the Humboldt County Office of Education, highlighting their innovative efforts to implement Enhanced Care Management (ECM) to support foster and homeless youth. This month's collection of peer learning sessions highlights how local education agencies (LEAs) can effectively leverage the LEA Medi-Cal Billing Option Program (LABOP) to build sustainable school-based health services. Featuring expert guidance from WestEd and an in-depth case study from the Lancaster School District, these videos explore practical approaches to blending and braiding funding, optimizing Medi-Cal reimbursements, and navigating cost reporting, audits, and reinvestment strategies.
