The Deveau Burr Group, LLC provides behind-the-scenes support for the School-Linked Partnership and Capacity Grant initiatives, with a focus on field documentation, alignment, and clarification. While they do not lead communications strategy or outreach, they assist in tracking trends, surfacing common questions, and supporting the consistency of technical information shared with the field. Their support includes:
- Drafting and updating issue-specific FAQ documents and informational tools to clarify budget guidelines, reporting requirements, and other frequently misunderstood topics.
- Serving as a point of clarification to address misinformation that may circulate among Local Education Agencies (LEAs), Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and other stakeholders.
- Acting as a collaborative partner to help identify field needs, capture recurring inquiries, and document responses that promote consistency across communications.
- Supporting occasional meetings, webinars, and technical assistance sessions, especially in areas where detailed clarification is needed.
Deveau Burr Group operates as an intermediary—helping surface and document information—but is not involved in grant administration or direct stakeholder engagement. Communications strategy and messaging for the Capacity Grant initiative are led by the broader team to ensure clarity, accessibility, and alignment across regions.

The California AfterSchool Network (CAN) supports the School-Linked Partnership and Capacity Grant initiatives by elevating the voices of practitioners and advancing the development of communication tools and shared learning spaces. Their work centers on co-developing resources and gathering feedback from the field to improve awareness, participation, and clarity across grantees. While CAN does not lead direct communications with all grantees, it serves as a collaborative bridge between field practitioners and the broader Capacity Grant team. Their support includes:
Contributing to the development of storytelling and communications toolkits that help Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) communicate their impact and align with statewide goals.
Supporting the planning and facilitation of Community of Practice sessions to share best practices, gather insights, and promote field-driven development.
Collaborating with partners to identify communication gaps and co-create tools that reflect the evolving needs of behavioral health partnerships in education settings.
Helping surface field feedback, challenges, and success stories to inform resource development and cross-sector alignment.
The California AfterSchool Network operates as a field-informed partner—supporting grantee learning and resource development—but is not responsible for grant administration or direct technical assistance. Communications strategy and messaging for the Capacity Grant initiative are led by the broader team to ensure clarity, accessibility, and statewide cohesion.
