MAT 105, 131, MAT 112, and MAT 132 are Santa Barbara City College dual enrollment courses offered at Dos Pueblos High School; providing DPHS students the opportunity to receive college credits while attending high school.

MAT 131 Course Overview
This is a dual-enrollment course where you will learn the fundamentals of digital imaging through the use of Adobe Photoshop on Apple desktop computers. Students will create original and high quality digital artwork while learning the basics of digital art, traditional art aesthetics, and art critique. No prior knowledge of Photoshop is required. Includes Tools Selection, Channels, Layers, Filters, Text, Brushes, Effects, Masks, Adjustment Layers.

MAT 112 Course Overview
This is a dual-enrollment course where you will learn the fundamentals of digital imaging through the use of Adobe Illustrator and vector–based art apps on Apple desktop computers. Students will create original and high quality digital artwork while learning the basics of digital art, traditional art aesthetics, and art critique. Create icons, characters, illustrations, interface elements and patterns. Work with type, native 2D shapes, 3D effects and vectorized bitmaps.

MAT 105: Survey of Multimedia Tools Course Overview
This is a dual-enrollment survey course where you will be introduced to 4 Adobe programs: Adobe Express, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Premiere. Each program will be visited for a span of two weeks. Students will produce projects and organize their Adobe program projects in a Weebly website portfolio.

Advanced Digital Art / MAT 132 Digital Imaging II Course Overview
This course focuses on expanding and applying the fundamentals of digital imaging that was learned in MAT 131 and 112 through the use of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and other resolution-based art apps on the iPad or computer. Students will create original and high quality digital artwork while continuing to develop digital art skills, traditional art aesthetics, and art critiques.
