Teacher Bio
I am a proud Dos Pueblos graduate and excited to be back on campus to teach my favorite subject: Photography. During my time here, I was the yearbook editor-in-chief as well as the lead anchor on DP News. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media with a minor in Photography from Marist College. I completed the majority of my coursework in Florence, Italy. There, I had the opportunity to study and work, which deepened my love for travel — I've been to 17 countries and counting.
I supplemented my education with graduate coursework at Loyola Marymount University, focusing on education and social justice. I developed the DP Video Camp on this campus during the summer, allowing younger students to explore the field of Digital Media. Prior to this, I served as an Art teacher and 7th-grade teacher at St. Raphael School here in Goleta and subsequently worked at UCSB for the following five years. During these years, I have also worked as a freelance photographer and brand consultant for local start-up companies. I hold a CTE credential in the area of Arts, Media, and Entertainment.
Personally, I have a passion for travel photography, food photography, and capturing lifestyle shots. I also teach watercolor classes, and love hanging out with my husband (who is a DP grad, and a glass artist) and our two rescue dogs, Boots and Moodles. I look forward to sharing my experiences with my students in the new CTE Pavilion!
