💬 Teacher Bio

I grew up in Davis, Ca. I danced ballet with Applegate Dance Company. I moved to San Luis Obispo to attend Cal Poly and graduated with a B.F.A in Art & Design, with an emphasis in photography and digital imagery. I started my own photo business in 2007. I was a health instructional aide for schools in Buellton. I went back to school for my Master’s in Education and my teaching credential. I started teaching art, video production, photo/yearbook at La Cumbre Jr High in 2017.  My husband, Jerick, is a wildland firefighter for Santa Ynez Flight Crew. He helps coach DP Track and Field. Our daughter, Lillian, graduated from Santa Ynez HS in June 2022 and is a student at Cal Poly majoring in Psychology. My son, James, attends DPHS. He participates in Cross Country and Track & Field. We love to go on runs on the beach, bike rides, indoor rock climb, hikes, relax at the beach, go to Disneyland, and participate in Spartan races.
