The Show Choir at Adams High School is chosen by a competitive audition process including a vocal audition, dance audition and vocal exercises. The Show Choir performs literature of various styles and genres including, but not limited to musical theatre, popular music and rock. Emphasis will be placed on vocal technique, intonation, choreography and etiquette. 

The Show Choir performs frequently throughout the community and participates in the ISSMA Show Choir Contest in March. All Show Choir members also participate in ISSMA Solo & Ensemble and ISSMA Organizational Contest. 

Ladies will wear red Show Choir dresses which students rent from the choral department for $25 a year to help cover the cost of dry cleaning. They will also need to have black spandex shorts to wear under their dresses and black character shoes. 

Gentlemen will wear black dress pants, white collared dress shirts, black dress shoes with black socks, suspenders and bow ties (school will provide the suspenders and bow ties). 

Show Choir meets 0 hour and 1st hour. 0 hour starts at 7:30 am. There is a $50 annual fee to participate in Show Choir to help cover the cost of music and other expenses related to Show Choir (i.e. posters for advertising, props for shows, etc).
