Concert Choir

What is Concert Choir?

Concert Choir is an audition-based choir that is expected to perform a wide range of classical musical styles without the performance aspect. This is for students who prefer to excel in their musical technical abilities without choreography. Emphasis will be placed on intonation, vocal production, performance technique, etiquette, and music literacy.

There is a $20 annual fee to participate in Concert Choir to help cover the cost of music and other expenses related to Concert Choir.

Where do we perform?

The Concert Choir performs throughout the community, collaborating with other choral ensembles and participating in ISSMA Solo & Ensemble as well as ISSMA Organizational Contest in April. We also allow students to have opportunities to travel to unique places, like Lincoln Center or Disney.

When do we rehearse?

What do I wear?

Female students will be provided with a black floor-length dress that is rented from the Music Department. Students are expected to provide black dress shoes, either flats or heels. The only jewelry allowed to be worn is a small single-strand pearl necklace.

Male Students will be provided black tux pants, white tux shirts, black vests, and black bow ties by the choral department. Students are expected to provide black dress shoes and socks.
