Approved proposals at Valley High School reflect a collaborative and transparent process designed to ensure that Community Schools funding aligns with the needs, priorities, and vision of our school community. Proposals may be submitted by staff, students, families, or community partners with ideas that support student success, engagement, wellness, college and career readiness, or stronger systems of support.
Once submitted, proposals are first reviewed by the Community Schools Coordinator to ensure alignment with Community Schools priorities, grant guidelines, sustainability, equity practices, and district expectations. Proposals are then brought forward to the Community Schools Leadership Council (CSLC), where members representing diverse stakeholder groups review, discuss, ask questions, and collaboratively evaluate the potential impact of each request. Through a voting process, approved proposals are recommended to move forward for additional district and county review when applicable.
This process exists to create transparency, accountability, shared voice, and shared leadership across Valley High School. By involving multiple stakeholders in meaningful decision-making, the process strengthens trust, builds deeper connections, and ensures that funding decisions reflect the collective needs and goals of the Valley community.
