When choosing courses, please keep the following in mind:
Counselors have already selected core classes (English and Math) for students.
Please make sure to use the graduation flow chart, your grade level course selection guide and graduation requirements below when selecting your courses. Each box in the graduation flow chart should be filled by the time you graduate.
Incoming 9th graders need to select a Foreign Language, 1 Visual & Performing Arts and 1 Elective class. In addition, you need to specify if you are interested in a sport, dance, pep squad or PE.
All students must take a minimum of 6 classes (30 credits).
All classes receive 10 credits per year or 5 credits per semester if passed with a D or better.
SAHS offers many programs, elective, and pathways to choose from.
AP courses are college level courses that will prepare students for the AP Exam in May. Students have the potential to earn college credit based on the outcome of the AP Exam scores. Students are making a yearlong commitment when registering for AP courses.
All Incoming 9th Graders are invited to SAHS on May 8. 2024 from 4-8pm

SanArts is the next generation arts conservatory at Santa Ana High School. SanArts aims to provide world-class courses for Santa Ana students to reach academic, individual, and community access beyond the classroom walls through artistic forms.
SanArts offers both masterclasses and private one on one instruction from professionals in the arts community and established University professors. These masterclasses are facilitated at Santa Ana High School, local universities, or throughout our community.
Students will be placed in beginning, intermediate and advance levels.
All students are welcomed regardless of experience or talent.
