School Breakfast and Lunch Program
Breakfast and lunch are served on a daily basis at Little Harbour School and follow federal nutritional guidelines.
Children may opt to eat breakfast at school, which begins at 7:40.
Children may bring their own lunch or get a hot lunch from the cafeteria during their lunch period. Those bringing their own lunch may purchase milk or chocolate milk. Water will be available for those that want it; we encourage students to bring a reusable water bottle to lunch for this purpose.
All students will be issued a lunch ticket that will be available for purchasing lunch or milk. Payment goes through a debit system called MySchoolBucks; you can add money to your child's account online or send in a check to the nutrition department. You can also set up alerts for low balances or automatic payments through this system.
Free and Reduced Lunch
Applications for free or reduced priced lunches are distributed in the fall in hard copy, but are available throughout the year and can be accessed here. Applications that are completed on-line will be processed immediately, giving a response to let you know if you are approved. All students eligible for free or reduced lunches are also eligible for free or reduced breakfast; eligibility for Free and Reduced Lunch programs may also provide access to other assistance, such as tuition assistance for Rec programming.
If you have any questions please call Deborah Riso, Portsmouth School Nutrition Director at 610-4474.
