How its affecting animals
Cosmetic product testing has a harmful effect on animals. Think about if you were a bunny and thes big people in white suits were dropping chemicals in your eyes, shaving you, and putting weird chemicals on your body. Imagine you couldn't speak or run away because you are in containment. Bunnies, guinea pigs, mice, and rats are helpless getting tested everyday. The hard thing is right after they are tested they are usually killed. The best way we can help them is by standing up to animal testing and buying animal testing free products. When people are hurt they run, yell, cry - but animals don't even have a voice. So the least we can do for them is help them and their species.
Helping animals is important because things that we use everyday with lotion, hair products, hand sanitizer, makeup are a few examples of products that get tested on animals. Animals are already becoming endangered because of climate change and other threats. Testing on them and killing them creates a higher rate of becoming endangered. Humans are doing many things to hurt animals and animal testing is one of them. Help us restore what we had before.
Some products
Some cruelty free brands are Elf, Hourglass, Milk Makeup, ILIA, Charlotte Tilbury, Juice Beauty, Urban Decay, Too Faced, and Tarte.
Some products that are animal tested are Clinique, Estée Lauder, L'Oréal Paris, MAC Cosmetics, Max Factor, Maybelline, Bobbi Brown, NARS, and Rimmel London. People who don’t support animal testing should avoid these brands.
However, there are lots of phony brands, so look out for those too, including false bunny signs. Some of those brands include MAC, Avon, Benefit, and others like these. We should all beware when checking out our makeup.
How to help
How to help! Now you know how hard it is, hopefully you want to help. We can always get animal testing free products. For example, if you are going to a makeup store look for symbols that show they are cruelty-free. Every little, big, and small action helps! Animals need your help. All ways of helping matter!
