Do you want to use skincare but don't know what to use? Well we have the answers! You might think some products are good for kids but they can turn out to be bad for your skin. We will review 4 different products including Bubble, CeraVe, Drunk Elephant, and Glow Recipe. Hopefully this helps you or the kids in your life when looking for skincare.
There are good and bad products when it comes to skincare. First let's review some good skincare products such as Bubble and CeraVe. Bubble, which according to the Better Business Bureau, has SPF which is good for kids. They said, “In support of its claims, Bubble provided a variety of independent reports and third-party testing and research. NAD found the evidence submitted supports the express and implied claim that Bubble’s cleansers, moisturizers, and SPF products are safe for users under 13. “
CeraVe, according to an article from CafeMom said “CeraVe baby skincare products are developed with pediatric dermatologists — and they’ve been basically the only products I’ve relied on for the past years to care for my kids’ sensitive skin from the time they were babies, helping me build the foundation to reinforce their skin barrier that continues to keep their skin healthy.” This shows that it's safe for younger kids because if she put the CeraVe on her 3 year old kid, parents and kids can trust the product.
Now, let's talk about the bad skincare products starting with Drunk Elephant and Glow Recipe. According to the article EWG.org, “Children’s growing interest in skin care highlights the need for education about the harmful effects of products designed for older skin, which can cause redness, burning and allergic reactions.” They also said that lots of kids go to cosmetic stores looking for popular brands like Glow Recipe and Drunk Elephant but “these products are not designed for young people, as many of the ingredients can be harmful to children.” This shows that both of these products are not good for kids.
Another skincare product that is bad for kids is Glow Recipe, but only when overused! According to an article by NBC News, “Glow Recipe products aren’t inherently harmful when used as instructed for their intended purpose, and the companies make products that tweens can tolerate. But some contain ingredients that can irritate young skin, dermatologists said.” This shows that some products from Glow Recipe can be very dangerous for kids when overused, and if you don't use them as intended your skin could end up being harmed.
In conclusion, some skincare products are good and and some are bad for you. Even if your skin is not as sensitive or does not react the same to these skincare products, it's important to take care of your skin with the right products so nothing bad can happen in the future! Kids can have skincare routines but they should keep it nice and simple because you don't want your skin to end up really bad and have a lot of acne.
