This app is used to record and submit speaking/singing sections of the AP French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Music Theory exams. You must use a SDUSD Chromebook - no personal devices allowed.
On your SDUSD Chromebook, go directly to "Apps" then select "DAC App"
This becomes the secure testing portal where you cannot do anything but use the testing app until you exit (see the last photo on this page.)
SDUSD IT pushed out the app to all chromebooks but there will be updates required as AP makes updates....it does not take long.
Use "PRACTICE" to practice.
On exam day, you will get a new code.
On exam day you will use your own AP ID and the item number will be on the test booklet.
You will first record your AP ID as shown in the top left corner. Then pause and confirm you can hear it.
Press "record" again and say your name then pause and listen.
If all sounds good, you can move on.
You will have the same option on exam day. If you cannot hear your response, you will re-record after everyone else is dismissed.
Hold the power button then select "sign out"
