How to Apply
- Students will work with their IEP or 504 case manager to submit accommodation requests through the AP SSD Online Portal managed by site staff.
- Schools may NOT submit accommodations requests without student/family permission.
- AP exams are optional exams - not required for graduation; thus, they are not required to follow the same rules as outlined in approved 504 or IEP plans.
- AP asks that all requests are submitted by January for May exams to ensure decisions are made in time. Once approved, accommodations are valid until graduation from high school.

Using Accommodations
Scholars must be approved by AP in order to use accommodations on exams.
If sites provide accommodations not approved, the scholar's scores will be cancelled and site penalized.
AP Coordinator will print the approved student's NAR (nonstandard administration report) that should be kept with testing roster and seating chart for six months after exam day.
