College, Career and Access Pathways (CCAP)

College, Career, and Access Pathway (CCAP) program is a partnership with the San Diego Unified School District and the San Diego Community College District to offer college courses on the high school campus.

Assembly Bill 288 established Education Code, 76004 to allow "The governing board of a community college district may enter into a College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP) partnership with the governing board of a school district for the purpose of offering or expanding dual enrollment opportunities for pupils who may not already be college bound or who are underrepresented in higher education, with the goal of developing seamless pathways from high school, including continuation high school, to community college for career technical education or preparation for transfer, improving high school graduation rates, or helping high school pupils achieve college and career readiness."

Each high school selects course offerings to be offered through the CCAP program on campus during the school day.

According to SDUSD Administrative Regulation, AR 6172.1 10 college courses may count towards high school graduation with principal approval.

Visit this site for a reference document of the courses that are approved for high school graduation credit.
