Media Arts
Our Lessons
In AEP, students develop media arts knowledge, skills, and understanding through various experiences in general media arts instruction. Based on the standards, these lessons are exploratory and are not driven by a product.
UTK, Kindergarten, and Grade One explore media arts characteristics through shapes, images, and sounds and experiment with different technologies to manipulate them.
Grades Two and Three are introduced to the elements of art and media arts along with basic visual and media literacy skills to create characters and tell stories using images, sounds, and text.
Grades Four and Five focus on the creation and communication of ideas through storytelling using media arts tools, images, videos, sounds, and text.
Each lesson is designed to stand alone but build on previously taught topics. All materials, including Google Slides, are embedded and included.
