The Image is published annually in the spring semester as an e-journal by the English Department of Southwestern Assemblies of God University to showcase the original creative works of the students, faculty, staff, administration, and alumni of the University.
This year's issue of The Image is a good reflection of the creative side of our student body. This publication is the product of several long hours' worth of work by my talented student editors, and we believe it shows the breadth of creativity found here at SAGU.
Our feature interest article is about a visit that Dallas Jenkins, the Director of The Chosen made to our campus, and it was written by our Senior Editor, Luke Pennington.
We also have a feature short story, "The Family Business" about family legacy and relationships that was written by one of our graduating seniors, Josiah Vann. You'll also find other good reads, as well as some poetry in this issue.
In God Moments, you'll find devotionals and testimonies from current SAGU students, as well as some valuable insights from alum.
In our Life section, you'll want to check out "The Heartbeat of SAGU Theater" written by our Art and Photography Editor, Marie Danae Magana. Our Short Story Editor, Grace Post, has a helpful survival article for her fellow college students. And should you want a great beverage to accompany your reading, check out our coffee shop recommendations, "Coffee Shop Crawl" by Samantha Gonzales, our Poetry Editor.
We hope you enjoy the read and the work these student editors did over the semester!
Blessings and good reading,
Amy L. George
