All Hail King Jesus

All hail the one we call Lord

The name we cry out in times of desperation

Lord, I need you!

I need your help!

We shout in anticipation

And immediately

He reaches out to us and

Ever so gently, grabs us by the hand

Without hesitation

I cannot help but be

Reminded of the time

Way back when

When the same Lord that helps us

Through our troubling times now

Started it all

When He laid His life down

Without hesitation

Was more than

An answered prayer

Without hesitation

Was more than our lives could bear

Without hesitation

Was being nailed

To a cross

His blood being shed

Him dying for

All

of

us.

Without hesitation

Was when His suffering could’ve ended

Instantly

With a simple call to stop the torment

a simple call to get away

And yet,

Despite the violence

Despite the pain

Our Lord decided to stay

All hail the one we call Jehovah Jireh

Our provider

Providing by dying for our sins

During a time when we didn’t even exist

And yet, we still managed to make

His list

Providing for us now

When making ends meets seem hard

And you don’t know if there’s enough money

For housing,

Utilities, a car

Providing for us when

Working double shifts isn’t enough

And you’re finding yourself at a loss

Providing for us because at this moment

You’re not too sure if there’s enough savings for college

To even be a thought

I get it. Trust me…I do

But the same God who provided for us on

That day

With thorns upon His brow

Was the same God then

And remains the same God now.

All hail the one we call Emmanuel

With us forever and always

Even when we do the opposite

And stray away

Even when we refuse to listen to Him

and turn to another page

With us even during our times of sin

Dying for them all

Before our lives weren’t even about

to begin

Majesty, Prince of Peace

Please take a moment, listen to me

Adonai, Shaddai

Savior, King of Kings

I know they just sound like names, but I need you to pay attention to these

Did I hit a nerve? I must apologize

I didn’t mean to

But you see the list of names goes on and on

and I could stand here and talk of them

but we’d be here

all night long

so… let me end with this

friends, no wait.., we’re family

Let us not forget the meaning behind these names

Because you can worship and you can pray,

but it’s another thing to view our king a way that leaves you

forever changed

all hail the one we call Jesus. King Jesus

Lord of heaven

Lord of the earth

and most importantly

…savior of the world.
