Students with disabilities may benefit from having appropriate test accommodations provided on classroom assessments, the IRI, ISAT, IDAA, MAP, and other standardized assessments. It is the responsibility of each student's IEP team to consider what accommodations, if any, should apply for an individual student.
Case managers are responsible for ensuring that students on their caseload receive the test accommodations as described in their IEPs. Accommodations may range from a small group testing room, to highly student-specific accommodations such as a scribe or speech to text. Case managers need to work with the entire testing team and administrators at their campus to ensure that all student accommodations are appropriate planned and prepared for.

Guidelines for choosing text-to-speech or read aloud for grades 3-5
Criteria for particpation in the IDAA are narrow and must be carefully consider by the student's IEP team. A student who is found to meet criteria will take the IDAA in all areas tested at that grade level. A student's IEP goals in all areas (including speech/language, OT, behavior, etc., not only academic areas) must include objectives if a student is taking the IDAA. The IDAA is always adminstered individually.
