28 February 2024
Today we made a group slides about why we should explore space. I felt like this activity allowed me to socialise with other people and get to know them better. It was very fun to discuss with others about our different thoughts and opinions. I liked the hands-on activities too. In future, I would like to see more of group projects like this as it allows me to improve on collaborative skills and work with different people besides also being a fun activity.
6 March 2024
Today we presented our different opinions on the importance of space exploration. I had learnt a lot of new information from the other groups' presentations, like asteroids in the asteroid belt may contain rare metals with an estimated total value of up to $11.6 quadrillion. I enjoyed each presentation but some were quite boring as they were wordy with no visuals. Overall I enjoy such lessons and I would like to have more group discussions in future.
27 March 2024
Today we learnt about the solar system and the different planets. We also learnt about pluto and why it was not a planet and instead a dwarf planet. I enjoyed the session and especially interactive blooket game we played afterwards. However I feel that it could be improved by adding more visuals and making the presentations more interactive instead of just copying notes. Overall I enjoy such lessons and I would like more lessons like this in future.

3 April 2024
Today we learnt about angular distance, latitude and longtitude. We were also taught on newton's 3 laws of motion and kepler's 3 laws of planetary motion. I thought that it was confusing so I would like to see more engaging presentations in future, with diagrams and symbols understandable to the sec 1s. However, I felt Mr Tan's presentation was mildly humorous and it was fun to listen to so maybe I would like to see more of that in future.
24 April 2024
Today we learnt about binary star systems, and also Doppler shift and some peculiar binary systems. I felt that this session was quite interesting, especially the blooket crypto hack game at the end of the session. I enjoyed this session but I think the presentation can be more engaging. I would like to see more sessions like these in the future. To improve I think more interactions between the students and the presenters can be made because I feel that the presentation was quite one-sided.
8 May
Today we learn about electromagnetic theory, and the different types such as visible light, microwave, infrared, ultraviolet and x-ray. However, at the back I could not see properly and there was no space near the front so I could not see the notes on the screen clearly. Perhaps the screen at the back could also be used when the ADMT studio is used as the venue.
26 June
Tody we learnt about orbital mechanics. I learnt about things like Kepler's Laws and the Hohmann transfer. I liked that the presenter, Gavriel, was very engaged in his presentation and I could see his passion for astronomy. However, I did not understand much of the presentation and I hope other presentations can be more comprehensible to the sec 1s.
10 July
Today we learnt about galaxies and our own milky way, and their different types. It was fascinating to learn what quasars and blazars were. I also enjoyed the blooket game that we played at the end to reinforce our understanding of the concepts taught. What could be improved is to make less wordy slides which also has more graphics to make for a more engaging learning experience for the students.
17 July
Today we learnt about stellar properties, like Stellar Parallax, Radiation, Temperature etc. It was very new to me and I thought that it was rather hard to understand. At the end, we tried to go on steam and download Kerbal Space Program, but even though I had steam installed, I found it hard to launch the Kerbal Space Program. Overall I think what could be improved is more graphics in the slides so it would be more engaging for us.
31 July
Today we learnt about phenomena. I found the presentation engaging and well paced. I also liked the kahoot at the end, as it was really fun and i got 5th place :D. I thought that it was also a good way to help us remember the concepts taught. I also learnt about the concept of time from the second presentation. I thought it can be improved by being a little slower so we can copy the notes. But I thought it was quite an improvement thanksss :DDD.
7 August
Today I was at math competition oopsies
14 August
Today we learnt about nuclear physics for the first presentation and I think the first presenter was very passionate and he did a good job engaging us. I also enjoyed the kahoot and i got 3rd woohoo!!!! I think that the second presentation could be improved to be more engaging. Overall I think it was a productive 2 hours yes.
15 January
Today we learnt about the Earth and its properties. I think Tessa is a good presenter and she is passionate. I also enjoyed the blooket we played afterwards, though it was very short and I think it should be longer. Overall, I enjoyed the session very much.
12 February
Today, we did our presentations on whether or not we should continue naming planets after Gods. I enjoyed some of the presentations as they were funny and they engaged the audience too. There was also a presentation afterwards about the moon. I enjoyed this session but during the blooket, I think it would help if some people did not shout so much.
26 February
Today, we had a presentation by Mr GangKai Poh. I think the videos of solar flares and CMEs are fascinating along with the electromagnetic waves and the beautiful aurora borealis. We also got some cool merchandise afterwards, like stickers and brochures. I think we could have taken notes on our macbooks better though cause writing on pen and paper is a lot slower and I cannot finish writng oops.
5 March
Today we had a presentation by advaith which was about a recap of everything we had learnt over the past term. it includes the intro to solar system, origins of solar system, cosmic samples, earth as a planet, earthlike planets: mars and venus, giant planets, comets/asteroids, cratered worlds, rings, moons and pluto. it was very long but i thought it was really productive and learnt a lot. i think it can be improved by a kahoot or blooket at the end for recap.
12 March
I learnt about how to use universe sandbox today, namely the mechanics and how to create a habitable planet. It wasn’t easy to understand initially, and I feel the presenters could have slowed down. Good examples and hands-on activities were used, though they could be improved in crowd management. Overall, I feel glad I attended this lesson. I would like to see more of these lessons.
26 March
We learnt a lot of math and stellar properties for astrigue today. I really feel that this was the worst lesson I had. The slides went too fast, so I could not copy anything, and I could not understand anything Gavriel wrote on the whiteboard. I could not understand anything, really. I did not like this lesson and I think Gavriel can improve on his handwriting and his pace of his lesson.`so real.
2 April
We did a practice worksheet today. By searching the internet to find answers, I found and learnt a lot about aperture, spectral class and more. I feel like although I did really badly for the test, I would have broadened my horizons a lot and learnt many new things. I think it could have been improved by being allowed to use the internet throughout the duration of the test instead of just the last half hour.
16 April
Today we learnt about the milky way galaxy! I had a lot of fun learning about it. Although, I can tell many other members did not feel the same and I think the presenters could have done better to keep them quiet for longer than a few minutes. Other than that, they were amazing, and I felt the content was plentiful too. The quiz at the end was a lot of fun, and our team won by a landslide! Overall, I really liked this session and I hope to see more like this in the future.
23 APRIL
Today we did many activities about solar system and other stellar objects and I learnt a lot about them. There was also a fun blooket at the end that I enjoyed a lot too. However, my groupmate was not cooperative and did not help me out in the activities so I hope that audience engagement can be improved too, with more quizzes along the way too. Overall I enjoyed this session and I hope to see more like this in the future.
7 may
Today we learnt about quasars and black holes, with many different activities and a blooket at the end! I missed out the opportunity to swap gold at the very last second though :<. I thought that the lesson was very content-rich, but I think it could be improved by crowd management as I felt the people at the back were very loud. I also think that the presenters could be louder to combat this issue, and also be a bit slower with the slides because I was unable to finish copying down the notes. Overall I enjoyed this lesson too.
Binary orbit with 4 objects
Eyes on asteroids activity
14 May
Today, I learnt about the distribution and evolution of galaxies. I learnt a lot about the observation of distant galaxies, how early stars were formed and ongoing galaxy evolution, and much more. There was a disruption halfway through, so I lost a bit of the note-taking time unfortunately. In future sessions, I wanna see more activities and quizzes and the end of the class, to further consolidate the lesson. Overall, I enjoyed the session too.
23 July
Today we played a board game, NASA Space Voyagers, with my table mates and I thought it was fun but I did'nt understand it fully. We also had a presentation by Max
