We learnt how to work together as a group better, this will help us in our future assignments. I felt that the presenters should be slightly louder as I was sitting at the back and it would be appreciated if they could speak up. Today, I feel that we were messing around too much and should not mess around too much and we were barely able to finish in time. We had eventually decided not to interfere with others which allowed us to finish much faster. Overall, I feel that good cooperation is essential to a good team.
I learnt that we had to listen to people when they are presenting as if we don't, it will be considered as disrespect. We also need to sign up for competitions while we can as in sec 4 we will have no more time to do so due to o levels. Personally, i feel that we need to prepare more next time so that we can not embarass ourselves in front of everyone else. We have learnt to make our slides longer so next time, we will have more content. Overall, I need to work harder next time.
i learnt about all the planets in our solar system. the lesson was quite fun. i felt that sitting at the back makes me unable to hear very well. personally, i feel i need to be more diligent in taking notes. overall, i think that todays lesson was good.
i learnt many formulas. i feel that they should make the formulas clearer so that everyone can understand. personally, i think that i need to sit in the centre as sitting at the side makes it hard to see the formulas if they are too far to the otherside. overall, i feel that the lesson was not very good.
today, i learnt that america beat the soviet union. i feel that i need to quickly pick my seat before i sit with someone i do not want to sit with again. personally, i feel that next time we need to work faster on the group project before we run out of time. overall, i think the lesson was not bad

today, i learnt nothing. i wasnt here for most of the lesson. personally, i think that next time, i need to be here. overall, i feel that i need to be here.
today, we learnt about antennas. personally, i did not understand anything because i am dumb. i need to be less dumb next time. additionally, i feel that i need to be smarter. overall, the lesson was fine.
antenna length: 1.024
week that i didnt reflect
today, i learnt about
today, i learnt about galaxies. while initially, the concepts were easy, it got harder and harder as more new concepts were introduced and added in. i have learnt alot throughout that lesson and would like more lessons like this. i feel that the presenters spoke too soft. overall, the lesson was fine
we learnt about stellar properties. we learnt that there multiple different ways to find them. we also learnt that some are better than others at certain things. this is why you should learn to use all of them. personally, i felt that the lesson was a bit fast. overall, the lesson was quitev good.
We learnt about meteor showers indeed. we learnt that there are multiple different times depending on where you are.
today, i wasnt here, so i copied others. I didn't come forbtoday so I copied someone :) Today we learnt about accretion, centrifugal force, Roche Limit and watched a video on the death of sun. We also played several quizzes on varying topics such as accretion, the sun and the milky way galaxy. I feel that this lesson was extremely engaging but could be improved by including videos or having more content.
today, we learnt about nuclear physics. my brain exploded just like nuclear fission. i did not understand the lesson. the notes i copied the spaces are where i didnt finish copying
Nuclear physics
Atoms are the most basic form of matter. They have 3 parts. Proton, neutron, electron.
Neutron-no charge
Proton-positive charge
Electron-negative charge
Electron shells- each shell can only have a fixed amount of elections
n=nunber of shell
First shell
n=1
Atomic subshells
Closer x is, less energy x has
What if more than 4
4l+2
l=the tier of the subshell
So if l=0 then the formula
Mass defect
Mass of atom is always slightly less than if each individual part of it was added up
Mass defect comes from e=mc^2
When particles amalgamate
BINDING ENERGY RADIOACTIVITY
Binging energy=energy need to break apart the nucleus of an atom
radioactivity=the spontaneous emission of radiation from an unstable nucleus to reach a more stable configuration
How related?
In radioactive decay, unstable nuclei release energy and particles to attain a more stable configuration.
Neutrinos
They are the lightest of the subatomic particles that have mass
What they do?
Very much like neutrons do in nuclear reactors, neutrinos can induce
What is atomic fusion
Atomic fusion combine to form a heavier nucleus, releasing a large amount of energy in the process. This phenomenon powers the stars including the sun
What is electrostatic repulsion
Refers to the force of repulsion
Safety of nuclear fusion in earth
Safe
Atomic fission
Is a nuclear reaction is when an atom splits apart to become 2 or more smaller nuclei, releasing a significant amount of in the process
Decay of atoms
They can decay through radioactive decay, where unstable atomic nuclei emit particles or radiation to achieve a stable configuration
Protons
No they considered to be stable particles
Yes they have a very long half life :(
Neutron
Yes. half life is approx
Electrons
They stable
Factors influencing ionising energy
As more electrons get removed, higher ionisation
nvm spaces were removed
overall, the lesson was good cause blooket
today, we did a test. i failed.
today we learnt about the galaxy and how the solar system was formed. i felt that the moon rock guessing game was very fun. also, mr tan also talked about what competitions we can join.
today we learnt about the earth but sine i dont know what to type, i will just copy and paste my groups notes
Earth:
Habitable zone
Formed 4.5 billion years
Diameter of approximately 12,760km
We know less about earth 5 km beneath our feet than we do about the surfaces of venus and mars
Layers of the earth:
The crust is where we live
The mantle is 2900 km deep
The core is made of molten and solid metals
HOW DOES THE EARTH CHANGE?
Tectonic plates!!!
They are like big puzzle pieces that is always moving
Heat(me) causes them to move
Movement of plates:
Push together
Move apart
collide/pull apart
Volcanoes kaboom
Where do they come from?
Mid-ocean ridges
Subduction zones
Hot spots (is that an Aure reference?!?!?!?)
Fun fact:
Hawaiian volcanoes are the biggest mountains - 9km from the ocean floor
Earth’s atmosphere
Troposphere —> oxygen
Stratosphere —> ozone layer
Mesosphere —> meteors
Thermosphere —> auroras, super hot like aure
Exosphere —> space
Where are the craters on earth?
The plates constantly change the shape of earth’s surface and “erase” the craters
Example: Tunguska event in 1908
Earth climate
Impact:
Small changes in temperature can have huge consequences
Historical events:
“Snowball Earth” —> entire ocean frozen
Summary
properties (don’t need to memorise)
Layers of Earth
How does it change
Movement of plates
Volcanos
Earth's atmosphere
Earth's climate’
Craters
today we lost our minds over the bad pump(s) we need better pumps pls. the pumps were so bad :( one of them was leaking water :(
1. How did you make your rocket fly further or higher?
we made the rocket fly further by using rocks to angle it higher.
2. How does the amount of water in the rocket affect its flight?
water has weight. too much water bad. too little water bad.
3. How does air pressure affect launching the rocket?
more air pressure = further
4. What is Newton’s Third Law of Motion, and how does it apply to the rocket launch?
for every force there is an equal and opposite reaction. idk how it applies.
today we listened to a presentation on solar stuff :)
today we did a summary for the term. yr fell asleep it was boring
i was not in astrigue. i had to go to physics lab 1 and made a telescope on tinkercad. it was ok ig
today, i did a test even though i am not in astrigue or astro challenge, my brain failed. also we went through answers of something i didnt do and learnt about practical astronomy.
today i (not in astrigue) scored higher than 66.6% of my friends (in astrigue)
i learnt about galaxy. we also did ksp.
we did some stuff about galaxies and was forced to do an exit ticket to leave :(
what u learnt galaxies
what u enjoyed the blooket
what can be improved i dont wanna do presentation :(
what u wanna do next lesson idk
help i wanna go home pls pls pls :(
today we learnt about some quasars.
blooket was fun ig got 3rd :) my luck was somewhat good today ::)
we learnt even more about galaxies (idk when this topic will end) and had to leave engi lab for like 25mins cause idk. when we left we stayed outside for like 5 mins before going up to s1-01 then going back down after com1plaining about the tables and chairs in the class and wondering what happened to them. that was the entire 25mins we left. they also took like 20mins to set up the attendance qr code.
today we played some astro game and the instructors didnt know how to play it (for some reason?). moon and mars were +20 too (aure decided it). we also decided to play with the other group but they declined i have no clue why i wasnt listening so we played by ourselves.
