Remember there should be 3 steps to creating and using Ai content
Step 1. Write your prompt
Step 2. Generate your Ai image
Step 3. Use your Ai image (what are you going to do with it after it's done?)
The success of your Ai image creation will depend on on how clearly you write your prompt (instructions). For the best results, follow these steps:
Start your prompt explaining to Ai what you are doing (explain the project or the task)
Explain that what you want it to do for you
Then list all of your requirements (we find that listing 10 things you want can give very clear results)
Sometimes the outcome isn't what we expected and a follow up chat to explain your changes might be necessary
My Ai prompt (the details and instructions)
I was sure to write clearly and follow the bullet points that are explained above (and below).
Ai's reply and image creation
This is the example of the wooden table I asked Ai to produce from my prompt - I didn't give it an example or show any of my work. It was very accurate in matching what I asked it, especially with the sawdust background and shadow (I specifially asked it not to include legs).
The design, chamfer and wood pieces were also what I asked it to produce too.
I am happy with the Ai outcome but I would now analysis, annotate over the top or use it to compare with my design ideas.
When ever an Ai image is created, it is important that you do something with it - not just post it
What I did with the Ai image
It is easy to create images with Ai (the hardest part is just writing my ideas clearly) but the most important part is what I do with the Ai image after. In this example
Version 2 below
Because using Ai is a fast process and adding annotated notes on top of the Ai images is quick and easy I made 2 versions
Example #1
A template photo has been uploaded with the prompt. The prompt asks Ai to use the template as a background and then lists the ideas and requirements.
Write a carefully planned Ai prompt and give 10 descriptive details of what you want Ai to create and what you want to be included in your poster.
Remember, the clearer you write and describe your ideas the better the Ai image outcome will be.
Give feedback to the Ai image. This is the Ai outcome that matches my prompt. I was expecting the bug designs to appear more as photos but these seem like artwork designs. This is not a big problem and I can still use this as an example. Maybe I could adjust my prompt and ask for: Please include at least 8 photos of bugs and beetles or, please add high resolution images of beetles and only include 5 artwork sketch images.
In the example on the right, I have added my own version of annotated notes and my comment ideas on top of the Ai poster. It's important I combine my work with Ai work too
This is my version of the guidelines. I have changed the colours to my liking and changed it to match the guidelines of my poster. I have included 10 points for Ai to follow and started with a short intro sentence to explain what the tesk is and what I am doing.
We were supposed to use gemini to create our AI poster but gemini was disabled for me so I decided to use Canva as a substitute and used their AI instead and it ended up working out just as well
I found all of my photos from google images as part of the guidelines for my poster but everything ended up really well and found all the images i was looking for
I have showed the prompt in two screen captures here because it wouldn’t fit in one but I didnt change the prompt and add anymore text because I was happy with the first versions it gave me
These are all the photos canva gave me for my AI poster, but I decided to choose the bottom right one because it looked the most alike for sea life and gave small designs and drawings like I asked it to
This is one of the posters I liked, but wasn’t my faite because it lacked in detail unlike the one that I chose from my actual AI poster I didn’t like this one because it lacked in the design guidelines. I gave it, but had some good ideas.
This one was really close to me putting it on my website to compare against my original. I chose it because it followed almost exactly the specific guidelines I gave it and was set on the DNT Google classroom
This one wasn’t one of my favorites and was not in my top selection mainly because it wasn’t following many of my guidelines and looked more like it was from AI rather than an original poster, which was the goal of what I wanted to achieve
This is my favourite AI inspiration board. I chose it because it has the text in the middle which look good, but more importantly, it had the small sketches of sea life that I really wanted on my inspiration poster. it showed most of the specific guidelines that I had written in the prompt.
