Introduction:
The module provides students with experience of GIS in a commercial setting at CSS in New Street, Makhanda. Each week the students get a specific GIS task to complete and then present the task as either a written document or presentation. The tasks are a combination of "pure" GIS - like modelbuilder/ python tools, and written tasks like compiling a tender.

By the end of the course, the student will be able to:
Demonstrate ability to communicate in the field of climatology;
Demonstrate knowledge of the relevant literature, and discuss contemporary research questions in climatology;
Identify and analyse sources of data, information and communication technology within a climatological context;
Demonstrate mastery of the major climatological methodologies and applications, including techniques for data collection, processing and analysis; and
Demonstrate ability to reflect on and critique own and other’s work.
