Monday, 6/22 - Last Day of School
Due to our recent snow days, the RSU5 Board voted to change March 13th (white day) to a half student day and a half Professional Learning Day. Student dismissal will be at 11:05am.
Region 10 will NOT have classes on the 13th (unless you are participating in the SkillsUSA competition).
With this change our last day of school will be Monday, June 22nd (half day, make up exams only).
All proceeds from the auction go toward Project Graduation, an event after graduation planned to keep our FHS graduates safe and substance-free, and to have a fun event to celebrate such an important milestone in their lives!
Bidding is open and runs until Sunday, March 8, @ 6:00 pm.
Click HERE to place your bid!
Bid now, bid often, and help make the ending of the FHS class of 2026's Senior year unforgettable!

To report a student absent, tardy, or dismissed early, please email fhsattendance@rsu5.org or call 207-865-4706, x7000. Include the student's full name, the date of absence/tardy/dismissal, the reason, and your contact info.
Please note that a doctor's note, or similar documentation,
is required for ALL appointment related tardies & dismissals.
This is school policy, that follows Maine statute.
Until documentation is provided, absences will be marked as unexcused.
If a student plans to be absent for personal or educational purposes (e.g. vacations, college visits, etc..), a Planned Absence Form must be completed & submitted, one week in advance. Completed forms can be submitted to Mrs. Meier in the Main Office.
FHS classrooms have shifted to a digital hall pass system called Orange Pass. All students sign out digitally to leave class for any reason. This system is replacing our paper sign out system and helps to monitor the location of our students and the "traffic" during class periods in the hallways. We have added Faculty Hall Monitors this year as well to help maintain the safety of the halls and school building. If you have any questions about the online pass system or logistics of the building, please reach out to Principal Jen Gulko (gulkoj@rsu5.org) or Asst. Principal Charlie Mellon (mellonc@rsu5.org).
