Still life

This is my project of the still life, the subject is a duck reading the books, I've taken all the picture. In this project, I wass trying to do this in a creative way, I had no idea what I am doing first, I find inspiration through looking around everything in my room. The first item pop into my eye is the book I kept when I was young, and I saw this duck, then I remind myself what I saw in the website, we have a duck stamp project coming up, so I had a idea of doing a photo of doing a duck reading.

In photoshop, first I decided copied two layers, thats always a good habit of doing it, then I went to adjustment, I adjust the color to make the bright duck fit more into the background, because the color dones't contrast very good between each other, and then I copied another layer of it, at first I tried to do spot healing to erase the word in the book, then I realized because the pages are so thin so the word on the back page will see thru. So I ended up creating a text box saying 鸭子，basically means duck in english, then I adjuat the opacity ans everything turn out fine, it was meaningful because it somehow relates to duck stamp.

Something I learned in this project is how to use the tool of match color and how opacity and and stroke can work on texts. It can change a lot of the text just by adding inner shadow and stroke, then I learn how each blending mode reacts and build off eachother.
